Lot numbers two, four and six are all being sold as confirmed in calf and the remaining heifers in the sale are all maiden heifers.

Some of the sire genetics of the heifers on offer include:

  • Tomschoice Lexicon;
  • Loyal;
  • Haltcliffe Dancer;
  • Plumtree Fantastic;
  • Ronick Hawk;
  • Faignant;
  • Fuschia;
  • Hector.

Speaking to Agriland ahead of the sale, Eddie Lynch said: “This is the first online production sale that we have ever had on the farm.

“These heifers are coming from the heart of our breeding females and are bred for their maternal qualities to go on and make good cows.

“The heifers are from extremely strong breeding lines, one of them being the Lavande line in France which is the same line Ernevalley Madison was bred from that’s in Dovea AI station.

“Lot four and 11 are daughters of the famous Bankdale Alice, which would have sold up on £1 million sterling worth of progeny through Carlisle. She is a very famous cow.”

The Co. Cavan-based cattle breeder invited all those interested in the sale to come along to the open day on Saturday, July 6, to view the heifers.
