Met Eireann has issued Status Yellow warnings for both wind and rainfall, with rain accumulations of up to 40mm on the way.
A Status Yellow wind warning was issued for both Munster and Connacht at 11:00am this morning (Thursday, November 8).
The warning will be valid from 4:00am tomorrow morning through to 3:00pm in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, a second Status Yellow wind warning was announced for Leinster along with counties Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal, which will be valid from the later times of 8:00am through to 7:00pm tomorrow.
Gusts will exceed these values in exposed coastal areas and on higher ground, especially in the south-west, Met Eireann warns.
In addition, Status Yellow rainfall warning has been issued for counties: Dublin; Carlow; Kildare; Kilkenny; Louth; Wexford; Wicklow; Galway; Mayo; Cork; Kerry; Tipperary; and Waterford.
Issued this morning the warning will be valid from 6:00am tomorrow through to 6:00pm.
This evening rain in the east will clear and tonight will be mostly dry apart from a few showers in the west.
There will be good clear spells but cloud will increase from the west with rain pushing into the west and south-west by morning.
It will become windy overnight with fresh to strong south-east winds, reaching gale force on south-west coasts. Lowest temperatures will drop to 4° to 8°.
