The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) paid farmers almost €1.9 million across a range of schemes last week.
The latest data, published by the department, shows that over €1.2 milllion was issued to farmers under the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Schemes (TAMS).
TAMS provides grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified range of farm buildings and equipment on their holding.
The figures show that €1.22 million was paid out under TAMS 3, while €1,510 was allocated under TAMS 2.
The department said that €79 million has now been paid under TAMS 3 across some 9,061 claims.
31,905 applications for TAMS 3 have been approved by the department, with 11,254 payment applications submitted.
€470,000 was issued to farmers under the Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES) last week.
This brings the total paid to farmers for the flagship agri-environmental scheme to €513.71 million.
An additional €39,415 was issued last week to farmers under the 2024 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS).
A total of €847.46 million has now been paid under these schemes to 119,640 farmers, including €38.6 million for the 2024 Complementary Income Support for Young Farmers and the 2024 National Reserve of €3.2 million.
There was a further €9,947 paid out to farmers for the 2024 Eco Scheme, bringing the overall amount issued to €308.35 million to 118,755 farmers.
€63,129 was paid out under the 2024 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC).
€52,175 was paid to farmers participating in the Organic Farming Scheme (OFS). 4,766 farmers have now received their 2024 advance payment for the scheme.
