Applications are now open for the Good Food Ireland Food Lovers Choice Award 2025, a prestigious, consumer-voted accolade that recognises outstanding food, drink and hospitality businesses across the island of Ireland. 

This special award celebrates those who align with the core sustainable values of Good Food Ireland, including:

Local sourcing;
Environmental responsibility;
Ethical business practices;
Community engagement;
Innovation in food and drink.

Entry is free and open to all businesses, from food producers and cafés to restaurants, hotels and distilleries if they feel they align with the Good Food Ireland philosophy.

There are five regional award categories, with winners announced at the Good Food Ireland Awards gala ceremony on Monday, November 10, 2025, at The K Club, Co. Kildare.

Applications or nominations for the Food Lovers Choice Award need to be submitted by July 28, 2025. Public voting will then take place from September 1–15, 2025.

After the application period, entries will be listed for public voting, giving consumers across Ireland and overseas the opportunity to show their support for their favourite sustainable food and hospitality champions.

The Good Food Ireland Awards 2025 in association with FBD Insurance, were officially launched last month at The Merrion Hotel, Dublin.

The awards were created to recognise excellence in local sourcing, authenticity and sustainability across Ireland’s food and drink landscape.

Other awards categories include:

Producer of the Year;
Sustainability Award;
Pub of the Year;
Hotel of the Year;
Outstanding Contribution to Food Production;
Excellence in Food Tourism Award.

Following further onsite mystery inspection and assessment the winners will be selected and announced at the gala ceremony at The K Club.

The public will also have an opportunity to vote online from a shortlist of finalists, for their favourite foodie business.
