Over €2.5 million was issued by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) in payments to farmers across a range of schemes last week.
The latest data also shows that just under €1 million was issued to farmers under the 2024 BISS and and Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS).
118,991 farmers have now received a total of €839 million in payments under these measures.
The department noted that this figure includes the 2024 Complementary Income Support for Young Farmers of €34.8million and the 2024 National Reserve of €3.1 million.
Last week, over €1.1 million was paid out to farmers under the new Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS 3), while a further €60,000 was issued under TAMS 2.
Over €50 million has been paid out to date under TAMS 3 across 5,709 claims.
Over 23,600 applications for the scheme have been approved by the department with 7,396 payment applications submitted.
The data shows that an additional €132,000 was paid out to farmers under the 2024 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC).
A further €70,000 was issued to participants in the Organic Farming Scheme (OFS), meaning that €48.2 million has now been paid to 4,679 farmers.
The department paid €110,000 to farmers for the Baling Assistance Payment (BAP) and almost €44,000 was issued under the Straw Incorporation Measure (SIM).
€2.25 million has now been paid to farmers who availed of BAP and the total issued for SIM stands at almost €6 million.
An additional €5,000 was also paid out for the Green, Low-carbon, Agri-Environment Scheme (GLAS).
