The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) issued almost €6 million in scheme payments to farmers last week.
Nearly half of the payments made up to January 10 related to the 2024 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS).
The latest data, published by the department, shows that €2.5 million was issued to farmers under BISS and CRISS last week.
To date, 117,993 farmers have received a total of €829 million under the schemes.
The department noted that this figure includes the 2024 Complementary Income Support for Young Farmers (€33.5 million) and the 2024 National Reserve of (€2.7 million).

The latest data also shows that the department paid out €1.95 million in 2024 Eco Scheme payments last week.
116,882 farmers have now been paid a total of €295 million under the scheme.
DAFM issued €513,000 to farmers in the Protein Aid Scheme 2024, bringing the total paid out under this measure to €9.55 million to some 1,600 farmers.
While an additional €246,000 was issued to participants in the Straw Incorporation Measure (SIM) 2024.
Meanwhile, some €420,000 was issued to farmers under the 2024 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC).
Around €245 million has been paid out to date to some 97,510 farmers participating in this scheme.
An additional €351,000 was paid to those in the Organic Farming Scheme (OFS) last week.
Nearly 4,500 farmers in 2024 scheme have now received a total of €46.6 million.
DAFM also paid out a further €6,800 to farmers under the Fodder Support Scheme (FSS) 2023.
