The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) issued over €2 million in scheme payments to farmers this week.
The latest data published by the department shows that around €900,000 was issued under the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS).
€834,275 was paid out under TAMS 3, with an additional €68,077 paid for TAMS 2 applications.
DAFM confirmed that €75.15 million has now been paid out to date under TAMS 3 across 8,691 claims.
30,263 applications for TAMS 3 have been approved by the department, with 10,883 payment applications submitted.
An additional €442,243 was paid this week out to farmers under the 2024 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS).A total of €847.1 million has now been paid under these schemes to 119,617 farmers, including €38.5 million for the 2024 Complementary Income Support for Young Farmers and the 2024 National Reserve of €3.2 million.
DAFM said that €520,000 was issued this week in Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES) payments.
This brings the overall total paid out under the agri-environmental scheme to almost €513 million.
Earlier this week, the department said that almost 94% of all ACRES participants are now up to date with payments.
The department has also confirmed that an additional €87,000 has been paid to farmers under the CAP Strategic Plan (CSP) Dairy Beef Welfare Scheme (DBWS).
The scheme supports dairy farmers to improve the animal health and welfare of the national herd by using better genetic merit beef sires.
Some 7,752 farmers have now received a total of over €4.8 million through this scheme.
€69,395 was paid out under the 2024 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC), while over €19,500 was issued to farmers in the 2024 Sheep Improvement Scheme.
