DLF becomes latest patron of Agri Aware

DLF, the Danish seed company which operates in over 80 countries, including Ireland, has become the latest patron of Agri Aware.

DLF is a grass and forage breeder and wholesaler originating in Denmark but now present across the world.

The company specialises in developing forage solutions that help maximise farm productivity in an efficient and sustainable manner.

Agri Aware, the independent farming and agri-food educational body, is a charitable trust whose mission is to improve the image and understanding of agriculture, farming, and the food industry among the public.

The organisation, which delivers school programmes and events nationwide, is tasked with conveying the importance of the agri-food industry among the public and bridge the gap between producer and consumer.

DLF now joins over 50 patrons of Agri Aware, strengthening the organisation's mission to enhance agricultural literacy among the general public.Dr. Thomas Maloney, product and technical manager at DLF said that the company is proud to become a patron of Agri Aware which he said is "doing vital work in showcasing the cultural, environmental, and economic value of Irish agriculture".

"It is especially important to share this message with those from non-farming backgrounds, so they can understand the work that goes into food production and feel reassured that they are consuming Irish products of the highest quality," he added.

Agri Aware chair Shay Galvin said it was a "great pleasure" to welcome DLF as a new patron of Agri Aware.
