An Garda Síochána made five arrests in total for two separate incidents of "alleged" trespassing in north Co. Dublin on Sunday, January 12.
Gardaí responded to one of the incidents on land in Lusk, Co. Dublin at approximately 1:00p.m, where three males, two aged in their 20s and another in his 30s were arrested in connection with the incident.
All have now been charged and are due to appear before a sitting of Balbriggan District Court at a later date.
Gardaí also responded to an incident of alleged trespassing that occurred in Oberstown, Co. Dublin at approximately 9:00a.m that same morning.
Two males were arrested in relation to the incident. One man aged in his 40s has since been charged and is due to appear before a sitting of Balbriggan District Court.
While, a male juvenile aged in his late teens was released pending referral to the Youth Diversion Programme.
Meanwhile, gardaí are currently conducting a major search operation in the Dublin Metropolitan Region north, targeting organised crime gangs in the Coolock and Raheny areas.
Organised searches under warrant of 39 properties commenced this morning (Tuesday, January 14) as part of investigations into the activity of a number of organised criminal gangs operating nationwide.
The gangs are suspected of being involved in the following crimes: Burglaries; Drug trafficking; Counterfeiting; Theft; and other property crimes.
Over 150 garda members are involved in the operation, including members from the Dublin Metropolitan Region, Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and Garda National Economic Crime Bureau.
Operational Support including the Garda Dog Unit, Armed Support Unit are also involved in the operation, with additional support provided by the Garda National Public Order Unit.
