Quicke tend to set themselves apart as producing a quality product that is thoroughly engineered and tested before release onto the market, and its latest bale grab offering would appear to conform to this ethos.
The company has just introduced a new range of bale grabs known as the Unigrip L+ and XL+, which, the company claims are designed for farmers and contractors who are looking for strength, efficiency and soft handling when transporting or stacking bales.
The grabs are said to be built to speedily handle rough farm work while also preserving the quality and structure of the bale.
Robustness and efficiency were the primary design aims according to Quicke and the company has paid attention to the details involved.
These include reinforced stress points and an adjustable back bale support which enables two bales to be grabbed and transported one on top of the other, greatly increasing productivity in the field.
The grabs can be used on all crops with the L+ version built for bales varying in size from 120-160cm, while the XL+ version will embrace bales of up to 190cm.
Quicke point out that one of the key features of the implements is the ability to handle bales softly while securely holding them in place, reducing damage to the material and preserving the bale shape.
Another available option is an equalizer bar giving synchronized arm movement, replicating the action of a two cylinder grab.
The Unigrip L+ and XL+ comes with a pressure restrictor valve as standard to protect the silage from compression and to prevent damage to the grab itself.
Additionally, there is also the option of a load-hold valve for handlers with free return to tank on a third service, which helps to ensure a secure grip.
The new grabs are compatible with most agricultural loaders and handlers and Quicke note that it will be adding smaller versions to the range in 2026.
