Irish dairy monitoring company expands to NZ

Irish company Censortec, which provides dairy monitoring solutions, has announced a new strategic partnership which allows it expand its products into New Zealand (NZ).

The agreement is with PPP Industries of Pokeno, New Zealand, to introduce Censortec activity monitors to the New Zealand market.

Censortec’s cow collars are powered by Nedap’s technology for sensor-based cow monitoring solutions.

This collaboration will provide New Zealand farmers with access to Nedap’s technology to monitor the health and activity levels of their herds, enhancing livestock management and animal welfare.

Censortec will also supply Alfco Engineering drafting gates, which the company said offers a complete solution to help farmers optimise their livestock management.

The partnership leverages Censortec’s expertise in animal monitoring technologies in grazing systems and PPP Industries’ long-established presence in New Zealand’s agricultural sector.

Managing director of Censortec Ireland, Sean Crowley said: "We’re excited to partner with PPP Industries to bring Nedap’s livestock management tools to New Zealand dairy farmers.

PPP industries has been designing, manufacturing and installing innovative agricultural equipment since 1962, and is one of New Zealand’s leading suppliers of dairy feed systems.
