Met Éireann has said that there will be good dry spells this week with some light rain and drizzle at times as high pressure builds.
The national meteorological service said that mist and fog will clear this morning (Tuesday, October 29) to leave a mostly dry day with some bright spells and the odd fall of light rain or drizzle.
In the west and northwest, patchy rain will develop in the late afternoon and evening.
There will be light westerly or variable winds with highest afternoon temperatures of 13° to 15°C.
It will be mainly dry tonight with some clear spells, along with rain and drizzle in parts. Lowest temperatures of 7° to 11° with mist and fog developing in the light southwest or variable breezes.

Wednesday will be cloudy and generally dry, apart from some light rain or drizzle. Afternoon highs of 14° to 17° in light southwesterly or variable breezes.
Wednesday night will be mainly dry and cloudy with lowest temperatures of 8° to 12° in light southwesterly or variable breezes, more moderate in strength near northern coasts. Mist and fog patches will develop again.
It will be mostly dry and cloudy on Thursday (Halloween) with the odd sunny break and some patchy light rain and drizzle. Highest temperatures of 13° to 16° in light southwesterly winds, moderate near northern and western coasts.
Cloudy on Thursday night with patchy light rain in the northwest. Lowest temperatures of 7° to 11° in light southwesterly breezes.
Friday will be mostly dry with sunny spells at times. Rain will arrive in the northwest later in the day. Highest temperatures of 13° to 15° in light to moderate southwesterly winds, fresher near northern and western coasts.
Dry and cloudy on Friday night with some clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 6° to 10° in light variable breezes, with patches of mist and fog developing.
Remaining cloudy and mostly through Saturday, with some patches of light rain at times, while current indications suggest that the mainly dry and cloudy conditions will continue during Sunday and into the early days of next week.
Met Éireann
Met Éireann has said that rainfall amounts over the coming week will be below average with between 1 and 5mm expected, equating to between 1 and 10% of average where this rain occurs.
It will stay relatively mild this week, with mean air temperatures of 11° to 13°, which is between 2° to 3° above average. Mean soil temperatures will remain much the same.
Met Éireann said that drying conditions and spraying opportunities will improve this week.
All soils are currently close to saturated and most poorly drained soils are waterlogged, apart from in parts of the east.
There is little change in field conditions expected at the end of this week, but there may be a slight improvement with waterlogged moderately drained soils returning to a saturated state.
