Met Éireann said that there will be mainly dry weather this weekend with some passing showers and mostly moderate westerly winds.
The national forecaster said that temperatures over the coming days will be around normal for this time of year.
After a damp and misty start today (Friday, July 25), it will brighten up later with sunny spells developing. Some well scattered showers are possible in the afternoon, becoming more isolated this evening.
The westerly winds will be moderate, highest afternoon temperatures of 17° to 22°C, feeling warmest in the southeast.
Dry with clear spells in most areas tonight, but there will be some showers in Atlantic counties. Lowest temperatures of 10° to 14°, in light westerly breezes.
Saturday will bring a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21° with a moderate, occasionally fresh, westerly wind.
Some showery rain is expected in northern and western parts on Saturday night, elsewhere it will stay dry. Overnight lows of 11° to 14° in light to moderate west to southwest breezes.
On Sunday, there will be sunny spells and scattered showers which will merge into longer periods of rain for northern areas. The westerly winds will be moderate , fresher in north and northwest areas. Highest temperatures of 17° to 21°.
Mainly dry and clear on Sunday night, with isolated showers persisting in Ulster. Lowest temperatures of 10° to 14 ° in a light westerly winds.
There will be sunny spells on Monday, but cloud will build bringing scattered showers later. Highest temperatures of 16° to 20° in a moderate westerly wind.
For Tuesday and Wednesday, it will be mainly dry with patchy light rain and drizzle at times. The temperatures are forecast to climb into the low 20s.
Met Éireann has said that rainfall amounts over the coming week will be below average, with between 2mm and 23mm expected.
This equates to between 22% and 97% of normal, with the highest amount of rainfall in parts of west Ulster and Connacht.
Drying conditions will generally be moderate to good most days of the coming week, but occasionally decreasing poor with some light rain or drizzle at times, as well as some showers.
There'll be some good opportunities for spraying over the coming week.
Met Éireann said that there is currently a large variation in field conditions across the country.
Soils are driest in the south and north midlands, with the wettest soils in parts of the west and also in the northeast and the greater Dublin area. Elsewhere, soils are drier and generally trafficable.
Soil moisture deficits are ranging between -5mm in parts of the west to 30mm in the south and north midlands.
With relatively settled weather, values will increase this coming week, with field conditions improving with all but poorly drained soils in some western parts becoming trafficable.
