Vogelsang Ireland, a provider of products in the fields of pump, maceration, spreading and biogas technology, is looking to take on a service engineer to join its team.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working in a mechanical role within the Irish agriculture sector. They will be technically competent and have a good mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and controls skills knowledge.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing extensive after-sales service to the existing customer base;
  • Installating, commissioning and planning maintenance of Vogelsang machines;
  • Assisting in planning and executing demonstrations of technical products in the field and tradeshows;
  • Promoting aftersales of spare parts and service contracts in customer territory;
  • Providing technical assistance and advice to customers after the sales process.

Candidates should have a good understanding of agriculture machinery or mechanical engineering, with a minimum three years experience in a similar role in an agriculture related area as a service engineer, among other requirements.

Dairy equipment manufacturer and provider Dairymaster is looking to fill a number of vacancies for regional sales representatives.

The role will involve: proactively generating and developing new sales opportunities and leads; closing sales leads and ensuring complete customer satisfaction; tracking and reporting all sales activities; supporting the dealers during the pre-and post-sales process; and providing follow-up support to both the dealer network and end users.

Experience or knowledge in the agriculture/dairy farming sector or in farm management is desirable, while previous field sales experience is an advantage.

Other requirements include the ability to generate and maintain relationships with sales leads; and the ability to focus and work towards sales targets on a monthly and annual basis.

Machinery distributor Farmhand is looking to take on an area service manager for its southern territory.

The new area service manager will be part of a national dealer and product support team of four people. The successful candidate will be responsible for the southern half of country, working alongside a field service engineer for the southern area, reporting to the service department manager/technical director.
