631 applications submitted under tranche 5 of the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Schemes (TAMS 3) remain to be processed, the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) confirmed.
The latest data from the department shows that 4,811 (83%) of the 5,823 applications made under this tranche have been approved.
310 applications have been rejected to date by officials, while 71 applications were withdrawn.

According to the latest update, the department said that 130 applications made under tranche 4 are still being processed by officials. 5,273 (90%) out of 5,864 applications made under that tranche have been approved.
There are also 18 applications made under tranche 3 deemed to be "in progress". The department said 3,403 (90%) of the 3,799 tranche 3 applications have been approved.
Just over €1.6 million was paid out to farmers by the department under the TAMS schemes last week.
The majority of that total, €1.5 million, was issued under TAMS 3, with an additional €154,383 paid for TAMS 2 applications.
The department said that €72 million has now been paid out to date under TAMS 3 across 8,243 claims.
29,024 applications for TAMS 3 have been approved by the department, with 10,189 payment applications submitted.
