Following the success of the MSD Animal Health Summer Roadshow series in 2024, the events will be held again this July and August across 14 SenseHub farms throughout Ireland.
The roadshow highlight’s the positive impact SenseHub Technology has to offer on farm.
The roadshow kicks off on Wednesday, July 16 at 11:00a.m. on the farm of Seamus Knox in Piltown, Co. Kilkenny, and concludes at Ger Cormican’s farm in Clarinbridge, Co. Galway on Wednesday, August 27.
There will be a strong emphasis on SenseHub Milking Technology, consisting of the MilkPlus Sensor and Somatic Cell Count (SCC) Sensor.
The MilkPlus Sensor monitors key milk information such as yield, butterfat, protein, lactose, conductivity and blood for each cow, at each milking.
The SCC Sensor is an automated California milk test, which provides an automated SCC reading for each cow at every milking, within two minutes of cupping.
This information gives real-time insights into milking trends for each individual cow.
The farmer can create groups of cows in the SenseHub app based on what they want to improve or monitor throughout the season - for example, high yielders, low protein cows during the spring, high cell count cows, etc.
This spring, the milestone of the 300,000th Sensehub Collar going on a cow in Ireland was surpassed.
The roadshow will be focusing on the efficiencies delivered by SenseHub Behaviour Monitoring collars when it comes to both heat and health detection, along with our labour-saving SenseHub Drafting Gate.
The newest addition to the Behaviour Monitoring portfolio, SenseHub Youngstock, which monitors calves’ health from the day of birth, will also be discussed.
As part of the roadshow, MSD Animal Health have also launched their SenseHub Summer promotional offer.
Farmers who buy SenseHub Behaviour Monitoring in the months of July or August will make their first payment in November 2025.
This will allow farmers who are interested in the technology to complete the installation ahead of the back end of the year when farms get busier. T&Cs apply.
