It is time for the top pedigree angus sale of the year - the Irish Angus Cattle Society elite show and sale will take place in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon, on Saturday, December 9.
All bull entries are export and fertility tested, sire verified, exhibitor bred, myostatin tested and pre-sale inspected. All heifer entries are export tested, sire verified, exhibitor bred, myostatin tested and pre-sale inspected.
76 bulls and 42 heifers will be offered for this sale, ensuring that there will be something for everyone – dairy, pedigree and suckler buyers alike.
Throughout the year, most of the cattle entered have been show winners. The powerful genetics and quality of cattle which will be showcased and later offered for sale are superior to say the least.
Attention all Northern Ireland and UK potential buyers - registration for the new traces system is required. This enables the export of animals on the day-of-sale. Please contact DAERA regional offices, or click here to visit their website.

The catalogue for this impressive line-up of bulls and heifers will be available from November 30, or on the Irish Angus Cattle Society website.
The society is also making a number of premiums available to the purchasers of bulls and heifers, as all purchasers of animals at €3500 or over will go into a draw for two €400 premiums one-for-bull buyers and one-for-heifer buyers.
Another two further €200 voucher premiums could possibly be won by the purchasers of the top-price bull & top-price heifer, sponsored by Coneyisland Genetics.

Pre-sale show
A pre-sale show will take place on the Saturday morning starting at 9:00a.m.

Carrowboy Untouchable ET who took the prize of 'elite sale female champion' for 2022, was sired by Rawburn Boss Hogg N630 and sold for €10,000.
She was bred by Alan Gibbons of Caggle, Strokestown, Co. Roscommon.
Lavally Ultra took the prize of 'elite sale male champion', was sired by Hw Farghal T516, and sold for €8,200.
He was bred by The Mullooly Family, Lavally, Strokestown, Co. Roscommon.
Drumcrow Urban Fire was sired by Drumcrow Prosecco T714, and sold for €8,200.
He was bred by Margaret McKiernan, Drumcrow, Corlismore, Co. Cavan.
Drumcarbin Ukraine was sired by Loughlynn Hum Dinger, and sold for €6,400.
He was bred by Shane McKiernan, Drumcrow, Corlismore, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan.
Loughlynn Unique was sired by Netherton Americano M703, and sold for €6,000.
He was bred by Patrick Regan Jr., Cloonmore, Ballyfarna, Claremorris, Co. Mayo.
