Tirlán has officially opened its newly-refurbished FarmLife branch in Inch, Co. Wexford which now includes an extended FarmEquip yard with it said now has a wider selection of farm machinery.

The Wexford site is the 7th in Tirlán’s local branch network to be officially opened following investment works.

The Inch branch is now bigger and brighter and stocks an even wider range of farm supplies, hardware, home essentials, animal and pet food, according to the agri-business.

Cutting the ribbon and officially opening the branch, Tirlán chairperson, John Murphy  encouraged the local community to continue to support the branch: “Tirlán is 100% farmer-owned and this investment shows we are delivering on our promise to enhance the communities we serve.

“This is also my own local branch. I have fond memories of coming into this branch over several decades. It has always been a great meeting point and focal point for farmers, for neighbours and for friends.

“While much has changed for the good here following this investment, I can reassure our suppliers that Willie Brennan and his team here will still have the same welcome for existing customers and the new ones an investment like this is sure to attract.”

Age-friendly Tirlán FarmLife branch

Along with the investment, the Inch branch is also now certified as Age Friendly by Age Friendly Ireland.

There is now a dedicated car parking space for senior customers and a new ramp outside, with enhancements throughout the store which include increased font size in signage and a seat for anyone who would like to rest for a while.

Reading glasses are available for anyone who might need them during their visit to the branch.

Branch manager, Willie Brennan said the feedback from members of the farming and wider community has been fantastic: “This investment means we can stock an even wider range of farm equipment and supplies, animal feed, pet food, hardware and household essentials.

“Our branch network is very important to our customers. As well as being their local branch, their local store, it is a focal point and a meeting point for many.

“It’s a nicer place to shop and it’s also an even nicer place to come to work every day. We look forward to many, many more years here in Inch.”

The Inch investment is part of an €11 million branch upgrade announced by Tirlán across 12 counties at the beginning of last year.

The Bunclody branch was the first to reopen in July of last year as part of the major investment programme showcasing Tirlán’s commitment to developing a modern network of stores that service the evolving needs of farmers and the communities they serve.
