The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) has issued over €1.8 million in outstanding scheme payments in the week ending on Friday, November 29.

A total of €962,613 was paid out under the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS 3), which brings the total amount issued to date to over €29.097 million.

The total number of approvals issued to date under TAMS 3 now stands at 19,066, with 4,514 payment applications submitted and 3,215 payments made.

Outstanding TAMS 2 payments worth €193,906 were also issued by the DAFM last week. This brings the total amount of payments under TAMS 2 to over €462.117 million.

Scheme payments

The DAFM’s latest weekly payment update also shows that a further €2,000 outstanding under the Green, Low-carbon, Agri-Environment Scheme (GLAS) was paid out last week.

Farmers participating in the Organic Farming Scheme (OFS) saw total payments of €677,842 last week, bringing the total 2024 payments received by 4,180 farmers to €43.5 million.

An additional €1,660 outstanding under the Fodder Support (FSS) 2023 was paid out to farmers last week. This brings the total amount issued under the scheme to 71,445 farmers to €52.75 million.

Outstanding payments worth €2,516 were issued under the Tillage Incentive Scheme (TIS) 2024 last week. This is in addition to a total of €1.44 million paid out in the previous week.

In the week ending on Friday, November 22, a total of €17.64 million was paid out by the DAFM to 15,877 farmers participating in the Sheep Improvement Scheme (SIS) 2024.

No payments were issued under the 2024 Eco Scheme, the 2024 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC) schemes, or the Shannon Callows Flood Scheme last week.
